They know what they are doing! Really quick procedures. They explain everything out to you and make sure you understand properly. Tell you how much things cost before doing anything. They are so kind. The office is super cute! Really girly 💕🫶🏻

I decided to switch my family to this dentist due to the closeness to our home, ease of getting an appointment, and convenient evening hours so that we don’t have to miss school or work for appointments. My first visit in the spring of 2023 for routine checkup and cleaning was pleasant. Dr. Kim found no issues. I had 3 subsequent visits for him to replace my centuries old metal fillings, which were also pleasant. Next, my husband went for his routine checkup and cleaning but, unfortunately, had a less favorable experience. Dr. Kim told him he had 6 cavities and needed a deep cleaning (he’s a perio patient but hasn’t needed a deep cleaning in years since his 1st one). This was surprising so my husband went back to our previous dentist for a second opinion, and that dentist found NO cavities, was amazed by his oral health’s progress within a few months, and congratulated him! And, he did NOT need a deep cleaning. As my husband has no dental insurance, River Club’s estimate for all the work my husband didn’t really need was $3,396! Lastly, our 9-year-old went for her routine checkup and cleaning and also had an unfavorable experience. She’s only ever had 1 cavity in her life and Dr. Kim told us she has 8… AND that one of them was so bad that it needs a pulpotomy! This was shocking so we got a second opinion for her too. The other dentist found only 3 cavities, NOT 8. She said the “pulpotomy” tooth MIGHT need a pulpotomy, but it may be treatable as a cavity only; she wouldn’t know for sure until she gets in there to see what the condition actually is. One of the teeth Dr. Kim was going to treat as a cavity in fact only has discoloration from a developmental dental defect, she explained. The total for her treatment plan was $1,063. SO… we are very disappointed with Dr. Kim and we will not be returning. : ( The ladies that work there are great though – especially Elise - and I don’t like that I’m writing this unfavorable review, but I’m not going to be silent about this. I emailed them regarding all this and requested a refund for my husband’s $99 visit and their $299 annual Flex Plan that I had purchased for my daughter at her visit. Their Treatment Coordinator, Kelly, replied basically implying that our other 2 dentists were negligent, and stated that “Some dentists do not spend enough time to check every Xray and photos because they are too busy or do not block enough time for new patients.” And, “The way every Dr. treat is different (some treats more conservative way than others)”. She wrote that they cannot refund for my husband’s exam fee “since we believe that all treatments we recommended are necessary.” She offered to refund half of the $299 fee. I then replied asking if they could change my daughter’s charge to the $59 "back to school" offer they have in their window and refund the $240 difference. [There’s also this promotion on their website: Child Exam, Cleaning, X-rays and Fluoride $59 (Regular $249)]. She replied: “only thing we can offer is $150 refund. Since you were previous patient, that is the only reason why we are even offering $150 refund.” -3/15/24- Update/In response to River Club Dental’s response: the procedure Dr. Kim recommended and included in my daughter’s treatment plan was a pulpotomy, which I’m certain I heard him say as pulpectomy (a word I had never heard before in my life). Regardless, my daughter has now been treated by the other dentist and thankfully the pulpotomy was NOT needed. Bottom line: she had THREE cavities – not EIGHT. Also, you ARE pushy about scheduling – you called my husband several times following his visit to get him back in for the treatments he didn’t need.
