Aspen Dental

I have never been so happy to go to the Dentist. The people are great from the receptionist to the Dentists. The young woman that did my X-rays was so sweet. I go to Aspen Dental in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Every staff member I met here is amazing — so friendly and comforting. They take the time to explain everything every step of the way, from medical to financial. I’m picky, because I normally don’t like the dentist — but I had a great experience so far. Would recommend :)

Absolutely disgusted by this practice. They are the McDonald’s of dental care. Two years ago I visited the Rochester location who did a few filling for me. One of the fillings fell out a year later leaving a huge hole in my tooth. As such, I visited the Portsmouth location to get a consultation. I was told I needed over 9000$ in work done but the immediate need was scaling and root planing which would cost me 2000-3000. That was their TOP priority not the huge hole in my tooth or the immense pain I was in. I practically had to beg for them to treat the broken tooth as I didn’t have the money for the gum treatment right away but wanted to save my tooth and quite frankly eliminate my pain. Doctor Le agreed to place the crown only if I paid to have the gum treatment on that side first. So out of desperation,I applied for their financing, had the scaling done and a crown placed. No root canal was done prior to the crown being place and no x-ray was done after. The crown never felt right but I was told there would be an adjustment period. Fast forward 6 months and here I am in excruciating pain with a huge abscess where the crown was placed by Aspen. I went to a dental practice located in Somersworth and was told that the tooth that has the crown placed by Aspen is severely infected and needs to be removed IMMEDIATELY. I called Aspen yesterday to explain this situation and was told a doctor would be in contact. Needless to say I am still sitting here in excruciating pain, no return phone call. Aspen only cares about money and has no concern for their patients. Stop over booking appointments and show your patients the compassion and attention they deserve.

I have always dreaded going to the dentist. As an uninsured adult now, I put off cleanings and check ups for a few years and finally decided to get some dental care. I really appreciated the free x-rays and evaluation at my first appointment, and how I was able to have a real conversation with the Dr. and hygienist. The office staff got me scheduled for a cleaning and for two fillings within 5 days of my first appointment! The hygienist (blanking on her name but she is the only one on staff at the moment) is AMAZING! I have never had such a thorough cleaning, and I learned so much about dental anatomy and ways to keep my mouth healthy, She is incredibly knowledgeable and meticulous and kind. Dr. Kim filled my first ever cavities and did a great job! I really value the clear communication I had with the entire Aspen team here in Portsmouth. If you're on the fence about going to the dentist, give Aspen a shot!

Where do I begin?! The staff are incredible in every way- friendly, knowledgeable, they go above and beyond to help you, make sure you're comfortable and explain each step of the process- I have never come across such an amazing team! I wholeheartedly recommend that if you are looking for a new dental office look no further!! I would give them 100 stars if it were possible! :)
