After 2 years of waiting for them to accept new patients because they are the only dentist to accept my insurance, I was scheduled at 8:40am today. Finally right. And I show up at 8:10am in the parking lot and sit for 20 minutes and go in at 8:30am. Still 10 minutes early. I get in and get screened and I'm told instantly that I'm late. I'm late? Yeah they tell me I was scheduled at 8:10am. The front desk manager who scheduled my appointment made a mistake and would not do anything to correct it. I now have to wait longer and drive all the way back to that office. Which is not close to new at all. This place really needs to get there stuff together because this is a big mistake not a minor thing and they could have done something to fix it but instead they just told me there is nothing they can do. I have to take the loss and they don't even care. The manager needs to be held accountable. I hope they can make things right.

I went here myself for years when Dr. Samuel was there. He was such a kind, caring man and a great doctor. He was also my mothers Dr. When he left, I became very unhappy in the transition. Not only did it seemingly take forever for them to bring in a new doctor, but it seems the care from all involved there went downhill very fast. Communications between them and my pharmacy broke down and left me out of a very important medication a few months in a row. Phone calls weren't returned, and then when I had my last visit there, there still was no doctor to see me...but I sure still paid full price. I decided to go elsewhere, but my mother wanted to stay, against my urging to find somewhere else. Now, once again, I have a medical concern for my mother I am trying to contact them for advice, and no one calls back. This is so very very sad, a once great place for very personal medical care seems to have lost it's way with the departure of one very special Dr, I'm only giving 1 star because you have to give something in order to make the post. In reality, this is a 0 star operation now.

I went there some 20 years ago, when I was a new single, low income parent. I was going 2 have a baby all alone. The only thing that helped, was a birthing video I saw there, about the process. It made it seem impossible & scary. I had the baby in a hospital. It was a horrible experience. But the baby & I went 2 this place 4 continued care, until baby was about 2 years old. Back then, they had an exchange center, where anyone could bring unwanted kid/family stuff, & take something, if they needed something. I LOVED that place, & volunteered there often randomly when I could. Volunteers needed a key, 2 get in the back room there. Baby grew up going there, & knew where 2 go, 2 get the key. Baby liked being a "greeter" there, until 1 day out of the blue, someone there accused me of taking a toddler bed, that had come in b4 I got there. I DID NOT TAKE IT, another young lady left with it, soon after I arrived that day. She took it away by herself, alone. I could NOT have been able 2 take it, because I had the baby with me as always, & couldn't carry the bed & baby together, alone. Also, soon after that, a new manager was declared, 2 oversee the Exchange Center, & they demanded that all volunteers pick a specific time & day 2 come. I couldn't commit 2 that, as babies do things randomly. So I quit being an official volunteer, but we'd still come & straighten up the place & help "customers" when there wasn't an official volunteer there. One day we came, & there was a big tote of clothes in the middle of the room, that had been dug through, & left in a shambles, so I HUNG EVERYTHING IN IT UP, & shoved the empty tote over the wall 2 the back room, so the tote wouldn't be taken by a "customer". Well, that sent the office all a twitter, & they asked me if I did it, & I said yes, because it had been all messy. They didn't like that 1 bit, because I found out, that they ration the donations, & put only seasonal things out, that only coincide with the right season. Believe me, poor people don't care what season the clothes r, because they just need ANY clothes, & they save what they can get, 2 wear at the right season. People still might need sweaters & blankets in the Spring. The new manager, decided 2 take complete control over the Exchange Center, 2 the point of locking it entirely, & probably made "customers" make an appointment, 2 go in at all. B4, it had been always open at anytime. So, after I was faced with a closed, locked, steel, door, 2 a dark, opaque room, it was the end of the joy we got from the previously bright & inviting place. I always brought back whatever we "borrowed" from there, when it got outgrown. For their info, we never took more than 5 things per visit, usually less than that. Those that work there, have no clue how wonderful it is, 4 an extremely poor person, 2 have someplace inviting, 2 look forward 2. It wasn't about going 2 get something, it was about having somewhere 2 go at all, that's open & welcoming at anytime. They snuffed that out, & rationed lonely visits out, to individuals. What's the point in going anymore, the joy was gone. Just dark, cold, emptiness greeted us, after the commissioning of the Key Master. Also, the personnel there, r rather cold. I also, tried going 2 a new parent's group, & was totally ignored. I threw newspapers back in the day, so I could take baby with me on the job At any rate, I developed Carpel Tunnel, or something, in both arms, & they hurt a lot. I went 2 this place 2 see if they could help make my arms better. To this day, I clearly remember what a very cold female staffer said "do u want us 2 take the baby if u can't care 4 it?" [because it hurt 2 pick the car seat up.] I said "no", left, & never went back. I'm writing this 20 years hence, because I'm so sad 2 have the joy we found there snuffed out, 2 b wrongfully accused, & 2 have someone threaten 2 take my 3 mo. old baby. Also, they cruelly stabbed the baby with 4 needles at the same time, 2 in each leg, 4 "routine vaccinations". That tore my heart out, because the baby was inconsolable.

I've been going to Families First for 3 years now and have had enough. Their PAs or nurse practitioners change too frequently. Don't get too comfortable with a provider because they might leave once you do. Also I made an appointment for my young son for the dentist (I am the only one who handles appointments in my family) And whoever entered the paperwork into their system made a mistake because I wasn't even in their system as a guardian and they refused to let me bring my own son into his appointment. They required I get permission from my ex husband just to reschedule an appointment even though he'd never called there or signed him up in the first place. So disorganized. I have lost confidence in Families First.
