St. Johnsbury Dental Associates

My family and I have been with Saint Johnsbury Dental associates for a few years now. At the beginning everything was great. All our cleanings were good but now it looks like they are money hungry!!! My husband and I suddenly were told that we both have " Periodontal Disease" and scaling and planning which we both got very worried. The dental Hygienist talks to you about gum disease and bone loss and blah, blah,blah. How could this be possible? We take good care of our teeth, and we have a very good diet of healthy veggies and we own a farm and grow our own meat (Beef, chicken, turkey, lamb and pork) we do not eat processed food, we don’t drink soda just water and we don’t even eat candy! We brushed 2 to 3 times a day and floss every day!! Anyhow, they did the procedure twice and charged us hundreds of dollars that our insurance did not cover. The procedure is in my opinion USELESS, I felt my teeth were dirty and NO CLEANING whatsoever was done!!! Also, when the dental hygienist measured my pockets between my teeth, she was not very gentle and kept stabbing me with that instrument making my gums bleed and she was calling off high numbers . I went home, and I was so sore!!! And when I looked at my gums it was red and so swollen, and it hurt for at least 4 more days. Next time I went to the dentist I mentioned that, but obviously I was ignored, and I did not see anyone writing a note of my concerns in my chart. Seems like this Dental Office likes to scam their patients with unnecessary procedures. The last drop that spilled on the glass was my teen daughter who just had an appointment last week and she was told she has 6 cavities!!!! I wanted to laugh so hard!!! They just told me 4 months ago when she had her cleaning that she has the PERFECT TEETH, and now she has 6 cavities. Watch out from Lynn Kemp, she will lie in your face and tell you that you have badly decayed teeth. Stay away from this dental practice!!!! Shame on them! I have worked in the medical field for the last 28 years and I care for my patients, and I could never treat people the way they do! You have been warned. Read the reviews we all have the SAME complaints. Some practices are not honest anymore, so very sad!!

This was my first appointment with Saint Johnsbury Dental Associates. I had a great experience. The doctor and entire staff were professional, kind and respectful. This was an evaluation and new patient review. The very next day I was able to schedule an appointment for a cleaning. This appointment also went well. The appointment was on time and was a terrific experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to become a patient at this practice.

A very positive experience. Everyone was so nice, listened to my concerns and took extra time to resolve. The lady who did the cleaning was awesome!! She did a great job, thorough and entire process was pain free. Keep up the great work and i appreciate all you do.

I usually never leave reviews but I had an amazing experience today and wanted to share. As a young first time mom, getting dental work done while bringing my baby was nerve wracking for me. I didn’t know how he would behave. My dental team went above and beyond to relive my worries and got the job done very efficiently! They were patient and extremely kind, helping myself and my baby during my appointment. Although I don’t recommend bringing a baby to your appointment (lol) sometimes it has to be done, and thankfully St.J Dental had the patience and kindness to help me through it.

I had to have a deep cleaning done yesterday and the lady did such a spectacular job. I don’t know her name but she may be Indonesian. She was wonderful at explaining what she was doing and so very gentle. Well, as gentle as she could be considering the nasty shape my teeth were in. However I left feeling comfortably numb because of the anesthesia. I would highly recommend getting your teeth done there.
