Tooth loss is a problem that occurs when any tooth becomes so unstable that it can’t stay in position. This also affects the structure of your gum and other teeth because it keeps on creating pressure on those healthy teeth around the affected ones. A beautiful smile comes under danger if you have loose teeth, but there is one way to save it: dental implants that are very effective if you want to get rid of loose teeth.

Symptoms of Loose Teeth

Loose teeth are a prevalent thing that happens to most people from a young age. But in some cases, it becomes a problem when their teeth start moving and become unstable. In both young and older, symptoms of loose teeth include:

Moving teeth

Gum problems are the most common cause of loose teeth, which means if you have unhealthy gums, you might face this issue any time soon. When your gums start receding, it becomes way too easy for bacteria to enter your mouth and attack the lower layer of teeth, thus creating gum diseases called periodontal disease.

Sensitive teeth

Loose teeth or any problem with your teeth can cause sensitive teeth, which means you may feel like your food is too hot; that’s why pain worsens when you eat something scorching. If you have this issue, you can’t chew your food correctly; it may affect the structure of your teeth.

Causes of Loose Teeth

The primary cause of loose teeth is the gums’ problem which can be easily prevented by following the proper oral hygiene, regular brushing and flossing. Some other causes are mentioned below :

Gum Disease

This disease is one of the most common causes of loose teeth, mainly affecting the gums surrounding your teeth. If this disease is not treated, it can enter into a more profound layer of your gums, damage the tissue beneath your gum, and even destroy the jawbone.

Malocclusion (Bad Bite)

with bad bites are always in danger of having loose teeth, which means if you have a problem with your jaw structure, it can cause many issues regarding your mouth. In this case, when the upper and lower jaw aren’t positioned correctly, there is a high chance that one or more teeth can become loose due to their abnormal pressure on each other.

Missing Teeth

If you are missing one or more teeth, it becomes straightforward for your other teeth to become loose because there is no pressure on them. The only way to solve this issue is by replacing those missing teeth with any other alternative so that the structure of your gum doesn’t get affected too much.

Use of Chewing Tobacco

Those in the habit of chewing tobacco or any smoked staff are at high risk of losing their teeth because it badly affects your gums. Chewing tobacco can damage your gum tissue, making it way too easy for bacteria to attack the lower layer of teeth, thus making them loose.

Treatment of Loose Teeth

The treatment for loose teeth mainly depends on the cause of your problem. If you face this issue by losing one or more teeth, then either your dentist can replace them with dental implants or dentures. These both things are very effective and allow you to live your life as usual.

Medications like antibiotics can be helpful in periodontal disease. Still, they are not that effective when you have loose teeth because most of them will recommend using dental implants.

If the cause is malocclusion, your dentist will try to reposition your jaw with some orthodontic treatment that requires braces for a few months. And finally, if it’s due to the use of smoked things like chewing tobacco, you need to quit that habit immediately.

Prevention of Loose Teeth

To prevent loose teeth, you need to follow proper oral hygiene, a regular visit to your dentist and quit smoking as soon as possible. Proper oral hygiene entails brushing and flossing at least twice a day and weekly cleaning visits to your dental clinic. Also, if you have a problem with your site structure, you need to visit your dentist earlier to do nothing wrong.

If you have a gum problem, take care of it immediately because delaying the treatment can only worsen the situation. You can also prevent loose teeth by quitting smoking because it can damage your dental structure badly. If you think genetics is the cause of your loose teeth, then you should consult your dentist because they might have some other solution for this problem.

Loose teeth are a complicated dental issue. So, if you have this problem, then contact your dentist as soon as possible so that he can decide the best treatment for you and apply it immediately to resolve the issue. This will surely give you healthy and sound teeth.

Loose teeth come along when the gums and the teeth are loose.
